Glow does need to be connected via WiFi in order to function properly. The reason is because the air quality data is relayed to our servers which then gets relayed back into your app.
Once you have set up Glow to be connected via WiFi, you can control it from anywhere you have your phone. Simply click on the Power Button on the app to turn the associated Glow Plug button on or off.
