Does Awair Element Detect Formaldehyde?

Formaldehyde (also known as methanal, methylene oxide, oxymethyline, methylaldehyde, and oxomethane) is a poisonous gas synthesized by the oxidation of methanol. Although we don't have a dedicated Formaldehyde sensor, Formaldehyde is considered a VOC.

Our VOC sensor is calibrated to measure methanol and a variety of dangerous methyl-based compounds, so it will react if Formaldehyde is present in your environment, but will not be able to distinguish between Formaldehyde and other potential VOCs.
