Awair Home App Overview

Awair Element’s functions are primarily accessed through the Awair Home App. You must download the Awair Home App to activate your new device. The Awair Home App allows users to access their air quality monitoring data and personalized tips, compare and manage multiple devices, customize Awair Element’s settings and organize integrations.

Once you log into your Awair Home App, you’re first navigated to your account overview screen. This screen gives you a quick glimpse into any Awair or Glow product connected to your account.

Your Awair Element’s icon highlights its current Awair Score and its name. If your Awair Score is gray (instead of green, orange, or red), then your Awair Element is disconnected. Read our tips about getting your Awair back online in our Help Center.

Tap the ‘+’ icon to add another Awair product to your account. Tap the account icon on the upper right-hand side to access your Account Settings.

In your Account Settings, you can:

Awair Score

Tapping on your Awair’s name from the Overview will open your Awair’s Score screen. Here you have a more detailed snapshot of your real-time readings, including your overall Awair Score and individual air quality factors.

For each air quality factor, you can review the current value and its associated range, indicating where your reading falls within our healthy ranges. Fewer dots mean healthier air! Tap on the range to view which values are healthiest. Our ranges are based on a number of worldwide health sources including standards set by the World Health Organization (WHO), the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

You can customize your Awair Score by adjusting your preference. Tap the gear icon on the upper right-hand side of the screen to set a new preference, and change the weights of each air quality factor in the calculation of your Awair Score.

Managing the long-term health of your air in your home can be tricky! While notifications are great at alerting you the moment you need to take action to improve your air, exploring the graphs in your trends can help you assess, analyze, and diagnose recurring patterns with indoor air pollution.

Tap through each air quality factor to review your trends over the last day: Awair Score, temperature, humidity, CO2, chemicals, or PM2.5.

The colors of your trend line will change as your air quality changed (green meaning good, orange for fair, and red for poor).

Drag your finger along the trendline to reveal the value of that air quality factor at specific times.

Press and hold on a specific moment to drop a pin, tap through the other air quality factors to compare, and discover interesting patterns.

Swipe left and right to review the last 30 days of trends.

Unlock your phone’s orientation lock and turn your phone horizontally to look at your weekly trends in landscape mode.

Your Awair Element will send a push notification through your app the moment your air quality needs attention. You’ll also receive a notification when your air quality has returned to a healthy range. You can control which air quality factors you’d like to be notified about in your Awair Home App Settings.

To control your Awair’s notifications:

  1. Tap on your Awair from the Overview screen

  2. Tap on the gear icon to navigate to your Awair Settings

  3. Tap Notifications

  4. Choose your preferred settings
