Does Awair Element Detect Formaldehyde?

Formaldehyde (also known as methanal, methylene oxide, oxymethyline, methylaldehyde, and oxomethane - chemical formula: CH₂O) is a poisonous gas synthesized by the oxidation of methanol. Although we don't have a dedicated Formaldehyde sensor, Formaldehyde is in a class of chemicals known as VOCs.

Our TVOC sensor is calibrated to measure methanol and a variety of dangerous methyl-based compounds, so it will react if Formaldehyde is present in your environment, but will not be able to differentiate between Formaldehyde and other potential VOCs.
